中文摘要: 自适应共价键网络热固性聚合物(简称自适应热固性聚合物)是近年来发展的一种先进机敏软体材料。该类型材料通过利用聚合物网络的共价键交换反应提高熵并释放应力,从而实现材料的自适应性和机敏性。并且键交换反应可以穿过界面从而达到粘合界面、材料修复以及材料回收利用。由于这些优秀的性能,基于共价键交换反应的自适应热固性聚合物在最近10年左右得到了飞速发展,并被用于电子封装、传感器、医疗器械等领域。但对它们力学性能的研究还刚刚起步,对界面修复性能的研究基本上处于空白状态。本项目通过实验、理论和计算力学结合的方式研究自适应热固性聚合物在热激励条件下的界面粘合的本构关系及其有限元算法的实现,并将其用于界面粘合以及颗粒粘结再循环处理的力学分析。

英文摘要: Covalent adaptive network (CAN) polymers are a novel class of thermosetting polymers that have drawn significant research interests in the past decade. A CAN polymer utilizes the so-called bond exchange reactions, which can relax stress if the material is deformed, to achieve its adaptive and functional behaviors. In addition, bond exchange reaction can cross the interface thus weld the two faces together, making it possible to heal or reprocess the thermosetting polymer. These exciting properties have made CAN polymers to be one of the frontlines in the recent material science research, with new material being developed at an increasing speed and with new applications being proposed in electronic packing, sensors and actuators, and biomedical devices. However, because many of these materials are very new, research on the bulk mechanical behaviors of these materials have just started whilst that on the interfacial properties is almost empty. The proposed project will study the interfacial welding behaviors of CANs through a combination of experimental, theoretical and simulation approaches. An interfacial constitutive model will be developed to account for the welding effect due to bond exchange reaction across the interface. The constitutive model will then be implemented into a user subroutine and then to investigate important mechanics problems in applications such as powder-based reprocessing.
