It is very helpfull for further improving the nuclear energy utilization and the fission models that the study of the fission product mass distirbutions for actinide nuclear. For binary fission at low excited energies, the statistical model which can quantitatively describe the fission product mass distributions will be developed. In this model, the primary fission fragment pairs are assumed as the products through multi-channel two-body breakup process. We will study the dependences of the two-body breakup probabilities at scission for the different complementary fragment pairs on their reduced masses, their total kinetic energies, their inverse cross sections and their scission configuration populations. At the same time based on the covariant density functional theory and the di-nuclear system concept, we will study the potential energy surfaces of actinide nuclei, and its dependence on the inverse cross sections of the complementary fragment paires. In addtion, we will also study the scisson configuration populations through the fold integration of the level densities of the complementary fragment pairs. These studies could be helpfull for further understanding the structural effects of the fissile nucleus on the fission product mass distributions.
