中文摘要: 最近,关于双螺旋DNA分子和单链螺旋蛋白质分子具有自旋过滤效应的实验引起了各国研究团队对生物分子自旋输运性质的广泛关注。基于我们的工作基础和相关的实验研究进展,本项目拟开展对DNA分子和蛋白质分子自旋输运性质的理论研究。具体包括:(1) 深入研究磷酸-五碳糖、基因突变等因素对双螺旋DNA分子自旋输运的影响;(2) 深入研究分子序列、温度等因素对单链螺旋蛋白质分子自旋输运的影响;(3) 构建合理的DNA衍生物自旋输运模型,研究其自旋输运性质。通过这些研究,能深入地了解有些生物分子自旋输运的物理机制,解释相关的实验现象,并寻找提高这些生物分子自旋过滤效率的途径以及建立自旋输运参数与基因突变的内在联系。该研究既有一定的创新性和基础科学价值,也为制备生物分子自旋器件提供理论依据。

英文摘要: Because of recent progress on the spin-filtering effect of double-stranded DNA and single-helical protein, the spin transport properties of the biological molecules have attracted extensive attention among different scientific communities. On the basis of our previous works and experimental progress, we propose a project to investigate the spin transport properties of DNA molecule and protein molecule from the theoretical aspect. Our project includes: (1) the spin transport through double-stranded DNA by considering the sugar-phosphate backbone, the gene mutation, and so on; (2) the spin transport properties of single-helical protein by considering the molecular sequence, the temperature, and so on; (3) the proposing of a reasonable model Hamiltonian to simulate the spin transport along DNA derivatives. The aim of this project is to understand the underlying physical mechanism regarding the spin transport along some biological molecules and to explain the most recent experiments. What's more, we wish to improve the spin filtration efficiency of these biological molecules and to establish the relation between the spin transport parameters and the gene mutation. Therefore, this project is creative and has basic scientific value, and could also provide theoretical foundation to produce biological molecule-based spintronic devices.
