中文摘要: 由于激光离子源在产生强流脉冲高电荷态离子束方面的优势,它的发展对于先进重离子加速器、小型化重离子治癌装置的发展具有重要意义。本项目的提出是针对激光离子源目前存在的一些问题,计划利用双脉冲激光产生等离子体时的一些独特物理过程,对激光离子束参数进行全面优化,从而为激光离子源在以上领域的应用奠定研究基础。具体的研究内容及思路如下:(1)结合流体动力学模拟与实验研究双脉冲激光打靶时的等离子体物理过程,研究不同激光参数(波长、能量、脉宽以及双脉冲的延迟时间、能量比等)条件对激光离子源高电荷态离子产额的影响,并进行优化。(2)通过调节双脉冲激光参数,对激光离子束的时间结构进行调制和优化。(3)实验研究双脉冲激光参数对激光离子源稳定性和重复性的影响,并进行优化。(4)以上述结果为基础,全面优化强流高电荷态激光离子源的各项参数,并结合模拟研究强流高电荷态激光离子源的工作机制。

英文摘要: Due to its outstanding capability in producing intense highly charged ion pulses, laser ion sources have various application potentials, like in advanced heavy ion accelerator complexes, compact hadron accelerators for tumor therapy. To meet the requirements of the above-mentioned applications, the project is proposed to take advantage of double-pulse laser produced plasma to improve the ion beam current intensity, charge state distribution, ion beam pulse duration and stability of a laser ion source. The whole research consists of four parts: (1) Combining hydrodynamic simulations and experiments of double-pulse laser produced plasma, to study the effects of laser parameters, like the laser wavelength, energy, pulse duration, incidence angle, delay time and energy ratio of the double pulses, on the yields of highly charged ions with the laser ion source and to enhance it. (2) To modify and improve the time structure of laser produced ion pulses by adjusting the parameters of the double laser pulses. (3)To carry out experimental study on the influences of laser parameters on the long-term stability and repeatability of the laser ion source and to improve it. (4) Based on the above research results, to optimize the whole parameters of the laser produced ion beams and to study the physical mechanism of highly charged laser ion sources.
