中文摘要: CoRoT和Kepler卫星已经观测到了数千颗红团簇巨星的类太阳星振,开启了大样本星振研究的大门。类太阳星振的频率依赖于恒星的内部结构,包含着丰富的恒星演化信息。大样本星振研究可以在其它方法难以实现的程度上获得星族的基本性质(质量、半径和年龄)和内部结构等。这为我们研究缺乏观测限制的星系星族提供了一种全新而又可靠的观测限制和研究方法。本项目将通过结合大样本恒星演化计算、星族合成和星振学来研究红团巨星星族的星振性质。目前的研究只能解释最大功率频率νmax和大频率间隔Δν分布中的主峰,无法解释更复杂的肩结构、第二红团巨星峰和亏缺等。通过本项目的研究,我们将获得大样本红团巨星的νmax和Δν的理论分布的精细结构,给出肩结构、第二红团巨星峰和亏缺等的解释;给出星振观测区分红团巨星和RGB星的方法。这一研究将有助于我们认识和理解氦闪之后的恒星演化问题和星系的红团巨星星族性质等。

英文摘要: The frequencies of solar-like oscillations of thousands of red-clump stars were obtained from the observations of CoRoT and Kepler satellites, which has opened up a new research field: ensemble asteroseismology. The frequencies of solar-like oscillations are dependent on the internal structures of stars, and their rich information content means that the fundamental properties of stellar populations (e.g., mass, radius, and age) can be determined to levels that are difficult to achieve by other methods. The internal structure and dynamics also can be investigated by ensemble asteroseismology. It has become clear that the observational constraints of solar-like oscillations in a large sample red giant stars, especially red-clump stars, will allow novel approaches in the study of so far poorly constrained galactic stellar populations. By combining the calculations of stellar evolutions of a large sample stars, stellar population synthesis method and asteroseismology, we will study the properties of red-clump population. It has been identified that the dominant peak in the νmax and Δν distributions result from low-mass red-clump stars. However, the complicated shoulder, secondary peak, and deficit structure can not be explained by current studies. Through the studies of this program, we will obtain the fine structur
